CEREC Crowns- No more having to worry about temporaries!

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetics Ceramics) is CAD/CAM technology that utilizes a camera, computer and an in-office milling machine (shown below) to fabricate a precise tooth-colored, single-tooth restoration. This advanced computerized technique enables the dentist to create inlays, onlays and full crowns in a single office visit without impressions, temporaries, or second office visits. This is accomplished by using a special camera to take a series of images of the tooth, the images of which are then displayed on a computer screen. The dentist then uses CAD (Computer Aided Design) technology to design a restoration that is milled from porcelain using CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology. Within one hour, the patient can enjoy a beautifully restored tooth.
